![]() ![]() Otherwise, please do note they will not clean the rooms during your stay due to Covid (at least this is the official message but I assume the real reason is that they are short staffed) and when I asked for the cleaning supplies to do it myself, they only brought a broom the size of a Melissa & Dug cleaning toy set - not even a real size broom and a dustpan. We flagged this to several people (concierge, in house manager, receptionist, via SMS, etc) and it wasn’t until we got really upset that we had the room fully cleaned because this obviously has not been done after the previous guest left. One of the rooms was super dirty with cheese in the freezer and hair in the bathroom (pics attached for reference). We had two rooms under my name and both were in different buildings- which is annoying giving we were two families with young kids that wanted to be together. As another review mentioned, the staff is impolite, the hotel is filthy, and they will charge you things after you leave that do not make sense. We are owners of a Westgate timeshare and must say we are extremely disappointed with this Myrtle Beach location. We left the Westgate Myrtle Beach Ocean Front resort a few hours ago. Overall the stay was excellent and the whole place has a swankier, resort vibe. We loved the room and I would say the only thing that could be different is flooring under dining table instead of carpet for messy kids. We would love to come next year and having two corner rooms at end of hall is kind of like having a 2 bedroom condo and private. We did have issues getting chairs with umbrellas because they were taken as soon as pool gates opened so bring shade to pool. ![]() The beach was beautiful and renovations top notch. My granddaughter has Celiac and this was not a problem at breakfast or dining. We ate in both restaurants and used the shuttle frequently. The breakfast everyday was amazing and good happy hour. Get the Hilton app! Also I would recommend 7th floor and above to avoid noise from units below. I contacted the hotel prior to arrival to place rooms together and they did not help me but I was able to check in prior to arrival and pick the two rooms together that I wanted. They had a side balcony that made them almost like ocean front. We were not able to get diamond upgrade to ocean front but the corner rooms in the back were amazing and gigantic. We had two rooms as a Diamond member for 6 nights. It’s all about that mighty dollar isn’t it Casey? You stole my grocery money, my light bill money, my medications money, and more and you should be ashamed. I’m a crippled old woman with nothing to do so I’m gonna write as many less than zero reviews as I can. A hotel that takes in tens of thousands (I repeatedly heard “we’re a business) probably hundreds of thousands, wasn’t willing to help me with my $538 is a greedy, money hungry unfit piece of garbage. ![]() I don’t write reviews, in fact this is my first ever. I HATE the fact that I sound like a Karen, I’m emphatically not a Karen, I’m a Kim. So I finally get in touch with the highest ranking employee, General Manager Casey, who tells me tough sh*t, there’s nothing she “can” (will) do and refused to give me the owner’s information. ![]() Here I am left with a literal dime to my name for the rest of the month. It was meant to replace my card but unbeknownst to me the hotel held on to my card info and even billed me an additional $256 WITHOUT my authorization. When we got there my “friend” put money on his chime card and gave that info to the front desk clerk. Due to the hotel not taking cash, I gullibly and *****ically used my card to hold the room. Biggest mistake I’ve made in a long while. I accepted because I had given up on ever seeing a beach again. I was invited by “friends” who told me it would cost me nothing. Ha! Getting ripped of by a hotel who took the words of a liar and robbed me of $538 An amount that is critical to my survival as I am primarily homebound/disabled. ![]()
